The Acquisitions and Collection Development Assistant will work directly with the Learning Services Support Team Leader and assist with the day-to-day operations of the Learning Services Team, overseeing the acquisition of resources and materials. The successful applicant will be required to actively engage in developing and promoting the Learning Services provision and its resources and provide an outstanding customer service experience to all members of the college community.

The ideal candidate will have excellent inter-personal skills, an understanding of current trends and developments within support departments and previous relevant experience. As well as a keen sense of humour and a flexible approach to addressing everyday challenges. Above all, the post holder will need to demonstrate the ability to promote a positive and successful learning experience for our students. 

Applicants should hold or be willing to work towards gaining a Cilip recognised qualification in Information and/or Library Studies and have a high skill level in and knowledge of IT, especially the use of spread sheets and computerised library management systems.

The ability to undertake flexible working hours is essential, as the working pattern may include evening and weekend deployment.
