The Royal Hospital School is a leading independent co-educational boarding and day school for 11 – 18 year olds, set in 200 acres of Suffolk countryside overlooking the River Stour.

ACTING HEAD OF GEOGRAPHY (Fixed Term Maternity)

This is an excellent opportunity for a well-qualified, talented and enthusiastic teacher to lead a successful and popular department from April 2020, for a fixed term maternity contract.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner, able to teach creative and engaging lessons to pupils across all year groups whilst providing dynamic leadership for our experienced and positive team of geographers.  The RHS geography department is outstanding, as highlighted by our recent ‘Centre of Excellence’ award from the Geography Association.  This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to join and lead a successful team. 

RHS has its own salary scale, outstanding development opportunities and subsidised accommodation may be available.  The Royal Hospital School remains a member of the TPS.
