Ashbourne is an outstanding Independent Sixth Form College in the heart of Kensington, London. We are seeking a new Activities & Middle School Academic Officer to lead the activities and events at Ashbourne College. This Officer will also provide support to Head of Middle School to contribute to the smooth operation of the College.  

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable meeting and dealing with a wide variety of people, both in person and on the telephone, including students, parents, teachers and external suppliers.  

This demanding role requires versatility, strong organisational skills, close attention to detail, teamwork and commitment. Applicants are expected to be proactive, prepared to go the extra mile and should have the ability to re-prioritise to meet multiple deadlines.   

A reasonable degree of experience, excellent English and computer literacy are required in addition to previous experience working in a school and doing activities.  

The Activities & Middle School Academic Officer will be responsible for the running of the whole activities and events and is required to work closely with other departments such as Admissions, Examinations and Facilities.

The working hours for this post are: 8.30am to 6pm. Further details of the job will be discussed at interview.   

Salary will be discussed at interview with a range of £24,000 - £26,500 dependent on previous experience.

Ashbourne Independent Sixth Form College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in Kensington, West London.

The college was founded as Ashbourne Independent College in 1981 and was co-educational from the start. It is a member of the Council for Independent Further Education (CIFE). A smaller than average institution of its type, the college provides 157 places for students between the ages of 13 and 21 when fully subscribed.
