City and Islington College teaches a range of subjects, from beginners English to a second language degree. The curriculum is fun and stimulating for all students, with the hope that they become enthusiastic about learning. Teachers have outstanding knowledge of the topics they learn. Pupils are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities, with the final aim of gaining employment. It wants to be the best college in the London area and wants to work in close partnership with those in the local community. Every student should be treated as equals.

Ofsted report

“The very strong financial health of the college enables managers to provide excellent and safe learning environments for their students and apprentices and to ensure that the college’s extensive and inclusive provision can be maintained over time. Leaders and managers pay particularly good attention to matching the curriculum to the needs of students and their aspirations. They use a wide range of evidence and local intelligence to plan the current and future curriculum. Safeguarding is skilfully integrated with the college’s very good arrangements to support students. Students know that college staff are all committed to keeping them safe, and they feel safe.”
