Full Time (five days per week) - Term Time Only plus five days in School Holidays
The colleague appointed will support the work of the school’s Administration office. The colleague should have a strong administrative background with good Microsoft Office knowledge. They should be adaptable, able to work in a confidential / sensitive environment and be able to thrive utilising their skills in some of the following areas:
- Extensive and detailed use of all Microsoft systems.
- SIMS system / database (training will be provided).
- Student Reception Duty.
- Visitor Reception Duty.
- Cash handling.
- Telephone calls and email communication with a range of stakeholders.
- First Aid (training will be provided).

Altwood Church of England School is a mixed 11-18 secondary school and the only Church of England secondary school in Maidenhead, Berkshire. Altwood School converted to academy status in August 2012. The pupil roll is around 780, including some 140 students who attend the school’s sixth form.
In 1836, the school site was home to Boyn Hill Church of England Senior Girls School and St Lukes Church of England Secondary Boys School but in 1907 the two schools merged to produce a coeducational school called Altwood Church of England Secondary School. Altwood School became a comprehensive school in 1975 and a Business and Enterprise College specialist school in 2007.
Altwood Church of England School welcomes pupils of all faiths and no faith, but expects its Christian ethos to be respected.
