Advanced Teaching Assistant (Literacy)

30 hours per week, term time plus 5 days 

Outwood Academy Hindley is an 11-16 academy, based in the friendly town of Wigan in Greater Manchester, with a curriculum designed to stretch and enrich our students’ experience. We are looking for an advanced teaching assistant, specialised in literacy, to work with teachers to support students' progress and attainment by supervising small groups or individual students. Successful candidates will need to work flexibly in various environments including online learning. This might involve assisting students across multiple lessons and subject areas at one time. We are looking to recruit individuals who have high aspirations for students, who are committed and passionate about learning and who have the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of students and in sharing our single goal of ‘Students First’.
