Would you like to lead Redriff’s After School Club provision, managing a busy and vibrant environment and providing students with care, play and learning opportunities?  

Can you lead the day to day management and organisation of the After School club, providing an inclusive an welcoming environment that incorporates the children’s ages, interests and abilities? 

Are you able to line manage a team of After School Club staff, directing and monitoring activities and inducting new staff members? Are you interested in developing the After School Club offer to an outstanding level? 

We are looking for someone with:

  • An appropriate Level 3 qualification
  • Experience of working with 4 to 11 year olds
  • At least 2 years' experience of working in a childcare setting or a play-based setting
  • Experience of delivering equal opportunities in a child care setting 
  • Appropriate child protection training

Redriff Primary School (City of London Academy) is an outstanding school that has been recently accredited by the national autistic society, as such we are looking for someone with an inclusive approach to extended schools provision. As well as running the club on a day to day basis, you will uphold policies and procedures, maintain records and occupancy levels and maintain professional working relationships with all relevant stakeholders. A creative approach to problem solving is required as well as having high aspirations for the club and its members. 

Desirable qualities for this role include; ability to work as a team member and demonstrate leadership skills, excellent communications skills and the ability to work on own initiative using judgement and common sense. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people is also essential. 

Starting salary will be on City of London Academies Trust payscale grade JE5, scale points 14-20.  Full time equivalent salary £26772-£29776.  Actual annual salary is between £10,652 - £11,855 based on 16.5 hours per week

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a C grade in GCSE Maths and English and good IT skills. 

A qualification in working with children is desirable but not essential. You will be eager to apply evidence-based practice approaches and support the school’s achievement of various national accreditation programmes.
