Lady Barn House School is a thriving independent day preparatory school for boys and girls aged 3 to 11. There are currently around 480 pupils on roll. The School has an exciting opportunity for an energetic, personable communicator to work in a creative and varied role within the Marketing, Admissions and Development team.  This is a particularly exciting time to join Lady Barn House School as the school prepares for its 150th year.

You will play a key role in fostering excellent alumni relations that will build and strengthen relationships with our former pupils and parents.  You will be responsible for the planning and execution of a programme of activities to strengthen and maximise engagement.

This varied role involves managing and developing a range of digital / printed engagement tools.  With the aim of developing a warm and engaged community of alumni ambassadors, you will create and produce engaging content to be used on the web, by email and on social media.

A pro-active, positive and dynamic individual, the Alumni & Development Coordinator will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work on their own initiative to drive ideas forward.  With an eye for detail and relevant events and marketing experience, you will enjoy working as part of a small, busy team.

The successful applicant must be available to take up the post from 1 September 2022.

The hours of work are 30 hours per week from 8.30am to 4.30pm between Monday and Friday (term-time only plus 20 days).  Some flexibility regarding evening and weekend work will be required.  The salary is split by equal monthly instalments throughout the year.  The school is open to a discussion on flexible working.  

Lady Barn House School has its own salary scale. All colleagues are entitled to a free school lunch in the dining room in exchange for various duties.  All permanent colleagues receive a generous discount on the fees for any of their children who attend the school, subject to availability of spaces.
