Job overview

Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for a teacher to join us at Foxfield Primary School.

Foxfield Primary School is part of the Greenwich Hub of the Inspire Partnership, a successful and thriving education Trust proud to serve diverse communities in Croydon, Greenwich and Medway. Our school and Partnership aim is to offer a life changing education to children through an ambitious global and values based curriculum. Ofsted inspected Foxfield in July 2023 and we were delighted that we were judged to be Outstanding for overall effectiveness in all areas.

Our schools work in collaboration to transform the lives of the children and communities we serve. By being part of the Foxfield family, you will have the chance to work closely with the other two Greenwich schools, Woodhill and Rockliffe Manor, as well as the other six schools in the Trust. This collaborative vision means that our staff benefit from the sharing of expertise and excellent practice as well as gaining support with workload. Our staff are warm, engaging and supportive practitioners who make the best colleagues to work alongside.

Our core values of Collaboration, Excellence, Community, Equity and Continuous Growth, define the way we care for, enrich and teach every child, as well as work with our staff. They permeate everything we do.

Foxfield is a welcoming three-form-entry primary school amongst a diverse and thriving community. We pride ourselves on developing curious learners, who engage readily with their learning, consistently demonstrate our values and want to do their very best. Excellent practices and systems in our school, support all children to be successful and confident. Foxfield is a truly remarkable place to learn, and also to work.

Our children are curious learners, who engage readily with their learning, consistently demonstrate our values and want to do their very best. Excellent practices and systems in our school mean excellent learning behaviours and that all children, including those with additional needs, are happy, successful and confident.

Our curriculum is world class. Through our global themes and character skills, we provide our children with opportunities to make sense of the world they live in, think critically about world issues and to develop an awareness of the impact our actions can have on others.

Teaching and learning is at the heart of our work. Partnership working parties and networking hubs allow innovation and strengthened provision.

Our staff are incredibly committed to their own professional development and regularly undertake research projects to enhance their practice, as well as have access to quality and bespoke CPD opportunities within and outside of the school and Partnership. Leadership development and coaching is central to our vision, as is an equity of offer that allows all staff to reach their full potential.

We have very high expectations of all staff and children and would expect the successful candidate to share in our vision and belief that success comes from developing a growth mindset which values effort and believes that anything is possible for all our students and staff.

The successful candidate will be someone who is keen to build on their passion for providing children with the very best learning experiences, while working in caring communities and continually developing as a practitioner.

This position is suitable for both ECTs or experienced teachers.

Comments from our 2021 OFSTED Inspection include:

Pupils and staff are proud to belong to the Foxfield community. Staff provide a range of exciting opportunities. Pupils enthusiastically share their experiences of entering artwork into the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair or being appointed as a ‘changemaker’. These opportunities motivate pupils to enjoy their time at school.

Pupils behave well. They show maturity in trying to resolve any differences. They work sensibly in lessons, engaging well in discussions and handling different opinions maturely. In the playground, they join in with the games and activities provided. Nearly all the parents and carers who completed the online survey stated that behaviour was managed well.

Leaders have planned an interesting curriculum. It meets the expectations set out in the national curriculum. It is also designed to help pupils understand what it means to be a responsible citizen. Staff expect pupils to work hard to produce work of a high quality, and many pupils do this.

Staff enjoy working at Foxfield. They value the opportunities they receive to develop in their professional roles. Staff are positive about how leaders have considered their workload and the supportive atmosphere they have created.
