Animal Studies Centre Technician – Full time and/or Fractional Maternity cover

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Animal Studies team at Myerscough College.  As the Animal Centre Technician you will be required to assist in the day to day maintenance / running of the animal unit, under direction of the Animal Unit Manager.  You will need to be pro- active in the management and maintenance of high welfare and care standards and have a duty of care for all animals on the Animal Unit. The role involves working weekends on a rota basis. In addition, bank holidays will also be worked on a rota basis. A Level 3 FE Animal Management qualification, significant industrial experience in working with a range of animal species and GCSE English and Maths grade C or above are essential. 

Salary: £15,142 - £17,465 per annum, pro rata relating to qualifications and experience
