Langley Hall is a dynamic, vibrant school based in Langley, Berkshire seeking a full year Apprentices to assist our thriving Reception Team during term time and Holiday Club outside of term.

12 Month Apprenticeship working/training towards an Early Years educator Level 3 qualification.

52 weeks:(25 days annual leave entitlement) and all Bank Holidays off

Shift pattern: 8.00am -5.00pm or 9.00am-6.00pm

(Shifts may vary when working Holiday Club)

Pay: Apprentice Rate £10,005 per annum

Job Description:-

Assist in the educational and social development of children under the direction and guidance of the Head of Lower School, SENCO, Lower Phase Co-ordinator and Class Teachers

Provide support for individual Children inside and outside the Classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities

Support Children with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills

Prepare and present displays of children’s work

Support Class Teachers in photocopying and other tasks in order to support teaching

To assist with playtime duties

To assist with after school club

To assist with holiday club in non-term time

To ensure the safety of all children, young people and vulnerable adults within the school. To complete the annual Safeguarding training and understand and comply with all Safeguarding policies and practices.

To immediately report any safeguarding concerns using CPOMS (online safeguarding platform).

To assist with the implementation of personal targets for children and help monitor their progress over time.

To work with external professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, as necessary; delivering programs as required.

To assist Class Teachers with maintaining student records by providing regular feedback.

To support the vision and ethos of the school as set out in the toolkit system

To set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance.

To attend relevant team and staff twilight meetings.

To be vigilant in reporting all matters relating to health and safety and to take responsibility for your own personal health and safety.

To consistently follow our Behaviour Policy and provide children with a strong focus on positive reinforcements and praise; applying sanctions and rewards for choices made

Any other duties as directed by the Head of School or Year Group Co-ordinator
