We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join a high achieving, successful and forward-looking team of staff. The Apprentice Teaching Assistant will join the Learning Support faculty, working with students in order to improve the quality of learning and foster the participation of students in the social and academic aspects of academy life.

Working with teachers and teaching assistants, you will provide support in the delivery of our learning support provision, providing support and leading activities with either individuals or groups of students to ensure their safety and facilitate their physical, emotional and cognitive development. In this role, you will be required to undertake NVQ studies alongside employment. Opportunities for further professional development are excellent.

The Learning Support team is led by the Executive SENCo for Learning Support & SEN, supported by SENCos at each of the Trust’s sites. The Learning Support teams consist of committed and professional teachers and teaching assistants with a variety of experience within and beyond the academy. The team is the largest in any city school or academy in Nottingham, and supports students of all abilities across the 11-18 age range.
