Job overview

We are looking for an Area Manager to provide on-site IT support for our Oxfordshire schools, based in either Didcot or Banbury but able to travel between the two. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager to support our four schools, which includes three brand new schools with state of the art facilities. 

You will provide first and second line support for these schools, working with a range of systems and users with varying skills and will need to find solutions to issues affecting all aspects of IT within the schools.  

The varied nature of this role requires an intelligent and enthusiastic person who has the ability to think outside the box to solve issues independently, but who can also work effectively with our wider IT and school teams. You will need to be confident in prioritising your own workload, but will benefit from the support of our IT Manager. A friendly and professional manner is vital, as this is a customer-focused role, based in schools.

You must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role and experience with hardware and software, including installation, configuration and deployment. 

This role is for 36 hours a week for a minimum of 41 weeks of the year (term time + 1 weeks); however, we will consider a full time appointment.
