Required from May 2019, The Halifax Academy requires an Art Technician to work within our Performance and Design faculty. The post holder will have a keen interest in art and be able to demonstrate this with a portfolio. The post is to cover the current postholder’s maternity cover.
The role will include supporting teaching and learning by working under an agreed system of guidance and management with a degree of autonomy. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups of students.
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Work as part of a team but use their own initiative
- Motivate and inspire our students
- Use creativity and passion in their work
- Form effective relationships with parents, carers and outside agencies
- Be a positive role model for our students
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- improving learning and teaching
- raising achievement
- tracking students individual performance and implementing intervention strategies
- supporting students with medical needs
