St Paul’s Girls’ School is seeking an enthusiastic Art Technician to support the Director of Art & Design and the team of Art & Design teachers with the day-to-day operation, maintenance and health & safety of the School’s studios. This particular post will be based in the art studios rather than the workshop.  The postholder will work closely with the other technician with a particular focus on the darkroom, digital studio, painting studio and ceramics studio. Some familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud software would be helpful but is not essential.

The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and in a school community and should be capable of working with the minimum of supervision. The role is varied and we recognise that no candidate is likely to have experience in the full range of technical tasks it involves. The role will be the same two days each week, likely to be Wednesday and Thursday.

The position comes with a benefits package of contributory pension scheme, free lunches, tea and coffee and use of school sports facilities during allocated staff times.

St Paul’s Girls’ School is one of the country’s leading independent schools for girls aged 11-18, with approximately 780 students. It is an extraordinary school, offering a classical yet forward-thinking education, located in Brook Green, London, and easily accessed by public transport (zone 2). Full details of the school are available on our website at spgs.org.

Further information about the role, including a full job description, and how to apply can be found on our website https://spgs.org/vacancies/. Please submit your applications before 12pm on the closing date.  Applications will not be considered without a covering letter, cv, and completed application form. Interviews:      Thursday 7 July

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and the successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
