The Farnborough Academy opened in September 2014 and officially became part of the Trent Academies Group in January 2015. Significant improvements have already been realised and we are proud of how rapidly the quality of teaching and the behaviour of pupils has developed. We are now seeing an academy emerging that the whole community can be very proud of.

It is anticipated that from September 2018 the TAG academies will merge with the Spencer Academies Trust, giving all staff and pupils wider opportunities for networking and sharing good practice.

We offer the opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a vibrant and forward thinking faculty which has developed links with the wider arts community in Nottingham and beyond.

The successful candidate will understand how important art is for our pupils to be able to explore the world around them and to express themselves.

They will be responsible for maintaining art rooms and areas, stock taking and ordering, overseeing and repairing equipment, preparing materials and resources, technical support in lesson and preparing displays. They may also be involved in planning and supporting art and design visits and enrichment projects.

The successful candidate will have good general standard of education, some experience of providing technician or similar support, be a great team player and have good communication skills. They will be highly organised, empathise with young people and have a desire to support them. They will be aware of health and safety and safeguarding issues.
