Do you have experience of supporting Art activities in Secondary settings?
We are looking to appoint an Art Technician to join our hardworking and dedicated support team. The successful candidate will provide support with teaching and learning within our Art Department. The role requires a well organised person with good Art knowledge and practical experience.
The post holder will support the Art Department in preparing for lessons and will assist in the general organisation of the art room, stock and resources whilst also offering technical assistance.
This is a permanent role and you will be working part-time, 24 hours per week, term time only.

You will:
- prepare and maintain department displays in collaboration with the department
- ensure Health and Safety/Fire safety compliance in the department and maintaining the record file and audits
- be responsible for managing stocks, setting up practical activities for classes
- be assisting in the design and making of relevant lesson resources,
- be celebrating students achievements by creating and sending reward postcards, promoting suitable art competition for students
- perform any task or duty under the reasonable direction of the Leader of Learning for Art and Design,
- be part of a pro-active team.

The Becket School, part of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, is a highly successful and heavily over-subscribed 11-18 Catholic Voluntary Academy with approximately 1073 students on roll including a 6th Form of over 235.
