Job overview

The Howard of Effingham School has an exciting opportunity for an Art, Textiles and food Technician.  

The post holder will provide technical and administrative support for teaching staff in Faculty to support teaching and learning within Health and Safety guidelines. Duties will include preparing and setting out equipment to support teaching staff in undertaking demonstrations; and managing the safe acquisition, storage and disposal of equipment and/or materials used in the delivery of the curriculum. 

The successful applicant will have a good general education to GCSE Level in English, Maths and Science or equivalent, Grade C and above or equivalent, together with a relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.

The ability to plan and prioritise a range of regular and irregular tasks within specific deadlines, together with the ability to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team is essential.  The postholder must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences and be able to follow strict Health and Safety regulations. An interest in the field of Art, Textiles and or Food is also essential.
