What it’s about

We are looking for a talented Artworker to join a busy and dynamic brand team in Cambridge Assessment English.

With a sharp eye for detail and a thorough working knowledge of all industry-standard graphics packages, you will be supporting the creative team and the business as a whole to bring design concepts to the print and publication stage.

This is a hugely varied role and covers the development and completion of artwork on everything from digital banners through to exhibition stands.

What you’ll be doing

You will support the Brand Development Team of Cambridge Assessment English with an artwork service which is fast, efficient and accurate. You will ensure that your artwork is produced to the exact requirements for print or digital publication and which accurately brings to life the concepts created by the designers with whom you will collaborate.

Provide the business with specific support on the creation of templates and PowerPoint presentations, utilising specialist knowledge to creating animated graphics and infographics where appropriate. You will also maintain the production and working practices established by the team.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a confident team player who is able to work accurately under pressure. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience of producing artwork for a wide variety of materials and applications. They will have strong typographical skills and a thorough understanding of print processes; electronic file formats and industry-standard publication platforms.

Qualifications

• Educated to A level or equivalent

• Any qualifications that demonstrate expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite, especially illustrator; photoshop and InDesign

• Any qualifications that demonstrate understanding of typography and the creative process.

Skills

The successful candidate will have good communication skills; excellent project management and organisational skills to manage multiple projects with competing priorities. They will be able to work fast but also accurately to meet tight deadlines and they will be able to work independently but also be a strong team-player.

Experience

We require someone with a proven track record of working in a technical role as part of a publishing or design team.

The idea candidate will have at least three years artwork experience.
