 ABC Teachers are urgently recruiting for an ASD experienced Teaching Assistant.

Here at ABC Teachers we are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder with challenging behaviour. The position is within Derbyshire, working with pupils aged 16+. The classroom contains 3-4 pupils; these pupils can have challenging behaviour, and there is a low level of communication required

The school has an experienced team who are committed to working at the very highest standards with dedication of safeguarding practices. You will be working alongside Teachers and Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties. Pupil needs include emotional disorders and conduct disorders/hyperkinetic disorders. The role includes supporting children in the classroom, delivering intercessions and providing some supervision across playtimes and lunchtimes.

Essential requirements are:

· Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification

· A minimum of 3 months experience of working within an SEN environment

· Full UK Driving License would make an applicant advantageous, due to the location of the school.

· Preferably have recent experience of working with challenging behaviour with Team Teach / MAPA or similar

· Flexible and Adaptable to support the needs and demands of the school and pupils

· Be eligible to work in the UK (must have a valid visa if applicable)
