About the Role 

The Accounts and Business Services Manager is responsible for assisting the Business Manager with day-to-day financial operations providing an efficient and effective delivery of business services to stakeholders and the college community.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, credit card administration, maintaining the College’s asset register, and general bookkeeping.

  • Provide effective supervision to direct reports. This includes overseeing team tasks, workloads, and priorities.

  • Implement and manage finance-related initiatives to improve financial practices.

  • Actively manage the online reporting system for maintenance issues, working with the Business Manager to determine key priorities.

  • Contribute to preparing, analysing, and delivering periodic reports and budgets.

Essential Criteria 

  • Current and valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card.

  • First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.

  • Relevant finance/accounting qualifications*********
