About the College

St Francis Xavier College is seeking to recruit an Assistant Business Manager - Projects. About the Role

The Assistant Business Manager - Projects is a member of Support Staff Management Team and will belong to a college leadership characterised by vision, strength, and a strategic focus.

The College is about to commence a major new building program through a masterplan. In addition, a new School Management System (Compass) and financial management system (Technology One) has been recently implemented across the CE system schools in 2022 and 2023 and this will be a key area of focus for both the Business Manager and the Assistant Business Manager – Projects in order to ensure a successful post-implementation.

The position of Assistant Business Manager – Projects at St Francis Xavier College will provide primary support to the Business Manager with the Business Administration functions, process improvement and the implementation of the new management systems.

The Assistant Business Manager - Projects is accountable to the Principal, and directly supervised by the Business Manager. A close working relationship is also vital with all members of the College Executive, the Executive Assistant to the Principal, faculty leadership team, and Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn (Finance and People & Culture teams).

The Assistant Business Manager – Projects must have highly developed organisational skills to balance the demands of a multi-tasking position with extraordinary attention to detail and follow through to meet deadlines and commitments.

Essential Criteria

Successful applicants will demonstrate the following:

  • Be adept with digital technology, and an experienced user with the Microsoft Windows and Office software suites.

  • A passion and aptitude for information precision and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively within a team environment and to also be self-directed and work autonomously without supervision.
  • Highly professional manner and strong interpersonal skills with a courteous, calm, and welcoming demeanour.
  • The ability to positively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and build productive working relationships.
