Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated professional who will take responsibility for the management of our education department.

The FCRT is a unique residential, educational and transitional environment. We cater specifically for horse motivated young people with LDD.

To be successful, you will have a good academic background, to include professional teaching and equine qualifications, and have experience of leadership and management in an educational environment. Evidence of relevant CPD will be required. Experience of being ‘on-call’ within a residential setting would also be a distinct advantage.

You will be a strong leader and motivator, with the ability to manage people patiently and with tolerance. You will also need to be a self-assured public speaker, an advocate for change and have experience and confidence managing budgets.

Your work will involve evening and weekend duties, and work alongside our learners and horses, but a flexible working pattern across the 7 days can be negotiated, centred around agreed ‘core’ hours. The FCRT can offer commitment to your ongoing CPD and training, meals while on duty, together with additional leisure and medical benefits, and the use of company vehicles while on business.

If you have any questions, or to request an application pack, please call the Personnel Department on 01425 673297, or email recruitment@fcrt.ac.uk

Closing date: 25th March 2019

First interview: 5th & 8th April 2019

Second interview: Tuesday 16th April 2019 (afternoon)

The FCRT is committed to Safeguarding, and of promoting the welfare of children and young adults, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
