This is an exciting time as our newly appointed Director of Children and Young People is looking to recruit an Assistant Director to join their new senior leadership team. You will provide the leadership to drive up standards and reduce the exclusion of vulnerable learners.
This role, which reports directly to the Director of Children and Young People’s Services, will lead the Council’s response to improve all children’s school readiness and attainment. You will be required to liaise with and influence the DfE, OFSTED, the Regional Schools Commissioner and school Governors to ensure positive progress for all Calderdale’s children. This role will brief key elected members on the progress made by schools an early year’s pupils across the borough and provide a regular overview of the prospects for Calderdale students.
Applications are encouraged from those who hold a recognised teaching\lecturing qualification, an advanced management qualification and can demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of Education legislation and statutory guidance relating to college and school organisation and early year’s achievement requirements.
