Seen as a major development in the field of education in Malaysia, Epsom is co-educational and follows an adapted English National Curriculum, leading to IGCSE and A-Level. The medium of teaching throughout is English. The Senior School, with a small Prep School on site for day pupils 3 - 10 years old, opened in September 2014. Our Prep School lessons run Monday to Friday, and Senior School lessons are Monday to Saturday lunchtime. Our boarding programme runs 7 days per week.
Based on the home model, Epsom College in Malaysia combines academic excellence with a first class British boarding experience. The emphasis is on creating a family environment within a structured school routine, with a traditional House system fostering a strong feeling of belonging and community.
With a long history of educating Malaysian and other international students in England, our branch in Kuala Lumpur is a natural extension designed to further the College's international reputation and increase the number of pupils who can benefit from an Epsom College education. The College has strong links with many influential Malaysian figures, not least Tan Sri Dr Tony Fernandes C.B.E., himself a former pupil of Epsom College, who has been appointed Chairman of the Governors of the school with Mr Matthew Brown as its current Headmaster.
In addition to full boarding, weekly boarding from Year 7, which was pioneered by Epsom College in the UK, is an option. This is popular with parents who want a British boarding lifestyle for their children without having to travel long distances.
The impressive campus, being developed on a green-field site, comprises ultra-modern hi-tech, environmentally-friendly buildings, with specialised facilities for teaching and learning, boarding, music, drama, art/DT and sport. The whole campus supports a wi-fi network to maximise access to the internet for learning and independent research.
