Job overview
We are seeking to appoint an experienced groundsman and/or maintenance person, to work as part of our team that are responsible for the maintenance and general condition of the school’s sports grounds, campus and buildings. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, practical person. You will need to have good people skills, be highly organised and a strong communicator, with a ‘can do attitude’. Specialist skills or qualifications in the above areas would be desirable.

About Thorngrove School
Thorngrove School is a co-educational independent preparatory school in Highclere, near Newbury in Berkshire, for 2 1/2 -13 year olds. It accommodates approximately 220 pupils.
Thorngrove School was founded in 1988 by Nick and Connie Broughton. They wanted to create an establishment that provided for all children, whatever their abilities. Recent developments have included a 3 lane cricket net facility and personal devices for all children in Year 3 up. The school will be celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2023.
