Assistant Head of Sixth Form – TLR2b (£4737)

Required Easter or September 2018

Would you like to join the leadership team of a large, academic, successful Sixth Form?

Would you enjoy the challenge of leading and inspiring students to become well-rounded individuals who not only fulfil their academic potential but are also well prepared for the next stage of their lives?

The Sixth Form plays a pivotal role in the academic success of the school, its provision consisting mainly of A and AS levels. At A level an ALPs score of 2 has been achieved for the last two years. Students regularly go on to study at Oxbridge and Russell Group universities. The Sixth Form has a strong reputation in the local and wider communities as a result of which its roll has increased to 264 for 2017-18.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Sixth Form and be supported in their work by an administrative assistant. The leadership and delivery of the EPQ forms part of this role and forms part of the teaching allocation of 34 out of 50 periods per fortnight.

Moulsham High School has a close working relationship with an on-site early year’s childcare provider. This enables staff working at the school to receive a discount if full day nursery or wrap around care is required.
