High Oaks Secondary School  

Oaklands is an excellent special school based in Isleworth and serving the London Borough of Hounslow. Oaklands pupils aged 11 – 19, have severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism.   

Oaklands is at an exciting point in its development; we are currently working towards expansion and full school relocation to a purpose built new school in Hounslow for September 2018. The schools will be based on two sites and will consist of the current secondary school (High Oaks) along with a new primary school (New Oaks) and an independent post 19 college (Great Oaks).  

We are a rapidly expanding school and due to promotion we require an Assistant Head Teacher for the autistic provision in High Oaks School  

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience of teaching autistic students in a special school or supported learning environment coupled with middle leadership or leadership experience gained from working in a special education environment.   

We offer a comprehensive induction, Inset and CPD programme for our staff, a pension scheme and employee assistance programme.

Oaklands is an ‘outstanding’ special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism aged 4-19. We have a Primary school (New Oaks), and a Secondary school (High Oaks). Oaklands secondary school moved to its current location in 2018 and boasts excellent facilities to provide a secondary and preparing for adulthood curriculum. Facilities include a sports centre, which is hired during evenings and weekends and outside term time under a planning condition.
