ASSISTANT HEAD TEACHER

Woodlands is an vibrant and welcoming school in which to work. We have high expectations of our students and we want to recruit teachers who are passionate about their subjects and dedicated to providing high quality teaching and learning. We have recently been visited by Ofsted and are delighted to be publicly recognised for the “transformation” of the school. In September 2023 we will be oversubscribed in all year groups.
To further develop the leadership capacity in the school, we are seeking to appoint a new Assistant Head Teacher from September 2023. We are looking for an innovative teacher who shares our passion for raising the standards of progress and attainment of all our students. This is an important appointment for the leadership of Woodlands as we aim to become an outstanding school and continue to be the first choice school for parents in the East of Southampton. The specific focus of the role will be determined by the expertise and experience of the successful candidate.

Woodlands Community College is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school without sixth form situated in Southampton, Hampshire. It is a community state school within the Southampton Education Authority. A secondary school with places for 900 students between the ages of 11-16, currently oversubscribed with 905 students currently on roll.
