Vision and values

St Helen’s Catholic Primary School wants to ensure that the Catholic faith is at the heart of the school. It gives pupils solid moral principles, to be put into practice within the community. The Brixton-based school encourages students to celebrate their individuality and teaches them that everyone is equal in the eyes of God.

The St Helen’s mission is for all children to have fun while learning, and to feel inspired and motivated throughout their time at the school. Teachers organise regular trips to museums around London. Children’s talents and interests are encouraged, in order for them to build the confidence to thrive in later life.

Ofsted report

“Pupils from a wide range of different backgrounds, and those who speak English as an additional language, make good progress. This is because the school identifies their needs early and provides effective support. The school gives effective additional support to disabled pupils and those who have a range of special educational needs. Therefore, these pupils make similar good progress to the others in the school.”
