About Nord Anglia School Beijing, Fang Shan (NAS Beijing)
Nord Anglia School Beijing, Fang Shan (NAS Beijing), offers students a creative, challenging and rewarding learning experience.
Opening in September 2019, NAS Beijing bilingual school will provide a state of the art, world-class teaching and learning environment with total student capacity of 1728. Providing a unique blended learning experience, NAS Beijing will offer students the best of eastern and western education resources and philosophies for students aged 6-18. The bilingual programme will be based on the Chinese K-12 curriculum blended with globally respected international teaching pedagogy and education resources. Located in the Fang Shan District of Beijing, the school has world class facilities that complement our innovative approach.
About the role
Resilient, organised and entrepreneurial, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the secondary school. We’ll look to you to provide effective leadership and advice to staff, students and parents while inspiring an atmosphere of energy, excitement and achievement. You will also be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.
You will be responsible for the initial development of the IB Programme within the school, including the application process to become an accredited centre. You will take full responsibility for the on-going management of the programme, as well as delivering elements of the teaching both on the IB programme and across the wider schools. You will have excellent knowledge of IB standards and practices and experience of developing the IB programme.
You will be an effective professional who will deliver the vision and ethos of the school which is centered on learning in a multilingual environment through a blended curriculum, offering students an international mindset whilst still nurturing pride and respect for their own culture and traditions.
A strong communicator, you will bring significant experience of both teaching and management in a school environment. Your proven leadership and people management skills together with your knowledge of the English National Curriculum and curriculum developments will enable you to establish a high performing culture within the school.
Confident in a complex and fast-paced international environment, you will have the ability to design, implement and review organisational policies and new initiatives and grow and develop team members. You will relish the chance to work collaboratively with colleagues in the central team, the region and across the organisation.
A strong ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop new ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community.
With a good track record of leading and managing staff, you will be motivational, understanding, and constructive.
Keen to collaborate and share your IBDP specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students.
