Consequently, at the last minute Newhouse Academy is looking for an Assistant Headteacher who is, as we describe, one of “Our People”. 

We appoint on character over talent alone, believing we can always learn new skills. It is important that you are a team player and understand how important our values are to us. This has helped Newhouse Academy to become one of the most improved academy in the country.

We have improved progress by more than 0.5 since 2019, received awards for attendance and our 5+ English and Maths results have doubled since 2019, Ofsted rewarded this in our inspection carried out in November 2023, when we received the first good grades for almost 14 years.

These improvements have only been achieved by working together on a clear vision and looking after our biggest asset, our staff. We started with WHY? Why should you want to work at Newhouse Academy? The answer is, our people. We come to work to support our students and fellow colleagues. We create an environment of high expectations that means our people treat each other with respect. When you have a bad day, we have your back. We work hard together and develop leaders who in turn, develop other leaders both at staffing and student level.

Contract type: Permanent
