The Role:

We are excited to appoint a new senior leader to our existing team to champion the learning and progress of students studying in key stage 3.

You will have a detailed understanding of how to ensure a culture of high standards and expectations which impact on conduct, engagement, learning, and aspiration. Your successful experience as a leader means you are well placed to work with Year teams, supporting them to share and implement the vision and get the very best out of our students.

As an excellent classroom teacher you will also be comfortable working with staff across the school to raise standards and accelerate students’ progress to mean they achieve outstanding outcomes - beyond expectation.

You will be excited by the prospect of ensuring we offer every opportunity possible for students and staff to be highly successful including engaging with local and regional providers to create bespoke curriculum experiences for those students who will benefit most from a more personalised approach to their education.  As an effective leader and communicator you will also have the chance to influence whole school practice by contributing to the development of teaching and learning so that it best serves the students you know so well.

The length of your previous experience as a leader is less important to us than your clear vision on what can be achieved for our students, your understanding of high standards and your ability to motivate and inspire.

Our new colleague will have an unstinting belief that every young person, whatever their starting point or circumstances can make and sustain exceptional progress and that our purpose is to change lives.

You will have access to on-going development opportunities and the support of a forward thinking, successful multi-academy trust. You will be joining a team of strong and experienced school leaders who will do whatever it takes to help you to succeed in your new and exciting role.

As well as having a passion for young people and their futures our colleague will:

  • be a dynamic professional with a desire for rapidly improving standards
  • be an excellent role model
  • be an outstanding classroom practitioner
  • have a track record of delivering clear impact on standards, attainment and progress
  • bring an unwavering commitment to doing whatever it takes
  • have excellent emotional intelligence and the ability to engage, inspire and build excellent relationships with both students and staff
  • know how to balance holding colleagues to account with supporting them and helping them to be brilliant teachers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly ambitious team of staff and make a real impact on our students’ lives. The successful candidate will have the chance to teach across the full age and ability range up to A level.
