Forest Fields Primary school now has an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking Assistant Headteacher to join our team. We welcome outstanding teachers with a bright, positive outlook, who will work together with the Headteacher, the Deputy headteacher and the staff team, to continue to support the school and pupils in going from strength to strength. We would like our new Assistant Headteacher to have led a team.

We are looking for experienced and creative primary practitioners who can both inspire and challenge to ensure we capture young children’s interest and help them attain high standards across the board.

Forest Fields Primary School is a 3-form entry, local authority primary school nestled in the heart of Nottingham City. We are proud of the diverse community around the school that has a rich ethnic and cultural tapestry, with currently 49 languages spoken in school.

The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have the experience, knowledge and skills to lead and manage a phase, with additional responsibilities for key areas across the school. There will be a teaching requirement that will be both in and out of class, depending on the needs of the school.

Forest Fields Primary has been judged as good by Ofsted in Feb 24. We are a popular City school in the heart of a vibrant and diverse community.

We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who:-

* Has led a team and has led subjects or areas across school.

*Is passionate and creative in their approach to teaching and fully committed to ensuring that each of our pupils achieves and leaves us happy, confident and articulate.

* Has a strong focus on pupil progress and can use data to ensure that we are getting the best for each child.

* Can demonstrate their ability and experience in developing the classroom practice of others and can lead school improvement projects across the whole school.

* Promotes very high standards of teaching and learning through excellent, creative classroom practice and management.

* Has a passion to ensure all children reach their full potential.

* Will take an active part in the wider life of our school.

* Has the ability to work under pressure professionally and with calmness.

* Has experience of teaching across the Primary age range, with a proven record of teaching and raising standards at the end of KS1 and/or KS2.

* Can demonstrate a commitment to working in a multi-cultural school community.

The post is due to start in August 2024, or earlier. This is a full-time, permanent position.
