We are looking to appoint a committed and passionate Assistant Headteacher to join our inclusive community and lead the school in the next phase of its development. At Glebe, the pupils’ progress and personal development is at the core of what we do and this is supported by our remarkable and dedicated staff body.

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional leader to join an outstanding SEN school with a forward thinking and cohesive Senior Leadership Team, setting high standards whilst valuing the wellbeing and development of staff. We are looking for an outstanding school leader who has the ability to inspire, motivate and build a strong rapport with everyone in our community.


As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the Headteacher you will:

·        lead on pupil welfare including behaviour, attendance and safeguarding;

·        be responsible for leading on the staff professional development programme and school partnerships.

·        lead the school’s wider curriculum offer;

·        take responsibility for the performance management and appraisal of staff;

·        act as a role model for good leadership and management, personal conduct and professional development;

·        drive improvement throughout the school and play a key role in the ongoing success and development of Glebe School;

·        a committed leader who has some experience of successful leadership and the courage and conviction to achieve the best outcomes for all;

·        an enthusiastic and inspirational leader with drive and high standards, to maintain our existing Outstanding status and move the school forward in the next stage of our academy’s development.

·        A leader who is an outstanding practitioner, able to create and support innovative approaches to improve life opportunities and employment for SEND pupils;

·        An emotionally intelligent leader with good humour;

·        Resilience, perseverance and optimism when facing difficulties and challenges and the capacity to be flexible, adaptable and creative.
