Job overview
We are a school for pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (with an ASC base) and wish to appoint a school leader with evidence of:
- successfully leading staff
- successful experience of meeting the needs of pupils with SEN who are learning at a level below Year 5 expectations
- successful experience of supporting teenagers in their learning and development

We are looking for:
- high expectations for pupils with SEN with an understanding of the need for high levels of support to achieve these high expectations
- understanding of moderate learning difficulties and relevant strategies
- a positive solution-orientated approach to meeting the needs of the minority of our pupils who also experience social, emotional and/or mental health needs
- high quality classroom skills and a reflective practitioner
- the ability to lead a team in a positive, determined, manner in the interests of pupils
