Assistant Headteacher – Teaching and Learning Lead

Leadership Scale 11-16

 

We are seeking to recruit a well-qualified, enthusiastic, dynamic and inspirational Assistant Headteacher to lead this incredibly important area of the school. The Teaching and Learning Lead will be required to promote the strategic direction for the School’s continuing professional development programme and to play an active and visible role on the Senior Leadership Team.

This position would suit would suit an existing Assistant Headteacher, looking for a new opportunity to grow and develop their skill set, or an ambitious middle leader looking for their first Senior Leadership role.

This is an opportunity for an ambitious and energetic person:

  • To take a full and active role in the leadership and management of the school;
  • To make a major contribution to the school’s development whilst preparing themselves for Deputy Headship;
  • To lead whole school initiatives and responsibilities according to the strengths of the candidate. This would include pastoral leadership, teaching and learning responsibilities, monitoring student performance and holding curriculum areas to account.
