King Edward VI Academy is now recruiting for an Assistant Principal (SENCO). This role could be your next career opportunity.

We are seeking an inspiring and dynamic leader who has the passion and commitment to work as part of a team dedicated to achieving outstanding outcomes for all. This post carries significant responsibility.  

The successful candidate will provide strong leadership as part of a team and be accountable for inclusion and SEND needs across the academy. They will drive up standards ensuring good and outstanding provision and positive outcomes for every student with particular reference to students with SEND needs. As well as being an excellent teacher, they will role model planning lessons collaboratively in conjunction with the SEND team and will create teaching resources and developing consistent approaches that meet the needs of all learners across the Faculty. 

They will lead the SEND department, working with others to disseminate good practice across the academy. They will work in partnership with other members of SLT in providing a high level strategic, management and operational direction for the School.  

The successful candidate will have recent, relevant experience of working in a leadership capacity and will have the expertise and initiative to promote outstanding provision and create an academically rigorous and supportive environment for all students.

The academy opened in September 2012 and is sponsored by the David Ross Education Trust. It is a smaller than average secondary school that can provide tailored support for your child. We are a non-selective school and believe that all students should have equal access to a good secondary education. We have a wide catchment area taking students from Skegness, the surrounding area and as far as Boston, Alford and Louth.
