We are seeking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Principal – Sixth Form, who has the experience, skill, vision and enthusiasm to join our popular and oversubscribed STEM specialist Academy from September 2019. This is an exciting opportunity for another colleague to join our leadership team on our journey to outstanding in all areas. We have excellent facilities, a caring and welcoming school community with committed staff and a supportive leadership team. 

The key responsibilities for the Assistant Principal post will include: 

It combines leadership responsibilities in three distinct areas: 

• Teaching, learning and progress within Level 3 (the Sixth Form);

• Pastoral oversight of students in Sixth Form;

• Curriculum development within one or more Faculties; 

Within the Senior Leadership Team, the Assistant Principal will share significant responsibility for ensuring

  • the development of the distinctive culture, ethos and community of the UCL Academy
  • the use of innovative teaching and learning strategies within a Level and Superstudio 
  • high expectations and standards of behaviour and attainment for students and staff within a Level, Faculty and where appropriate, House
  • the future development of the Academy 

The Assistant Principal will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Sixth Form Superstudio and for maintaining good order and discipline amongst students in their care within Faculty, Level and House.
