West Kirby School & College is seeking to appoint a dedicated Assistant Psychologist

Salary: £29,596.56 - £32,365.87 (pt 23 – pt 25)

Contract: Permanent, 35 hours, 44.6 weeks

West Kirby School and College caters for children and young people, aged 5-19 years, with a range of complex special educational needs and disabilities and offers day and/or residential provision. We support pupils with social and communication difficulties, including Autistic Spectrum Condition;

complex learning, sensory and emotional needs, across a range of cognitive abilities. Flexibility, humour and willingness to go the extra mile are essential for all staff to ensure a high standard of support for all our pupils.

Role Overview:

West Kirby School and College have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated Assistant Psychologist to join our multi-disciplinary team to provide an applied psychology service to pupils, staff and parents/carers under the supervision of the Clinical Psychologist.

You will be implementing strategies and techniques that are grounded in psychological and

educational theory and principles in order to promote inclusion and maximise the achievement of young people.

You will enjoy working with children and young people whilst striving to help with their wellbeing and supporting their families and other staff to promote a supportive and inclusive environment.
