Job overview

Assistant Team Leader – Creative Arts

MPS/UPS + TLR2B (£5,026 negotiable depending upon experience)

Westborough High School is a caring, vibrant and happy learning community. We value all our staff and work together to make a difference to children’s lives.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational Assistant Team Leader of Creative Arts to join our school. This vacancy will suit a highly effective Design Technology teacher who is ready to take on leadership. You will support the Team Leader with the development and implementation of the Creative Arts curriculum across both key stages, ensuring pupils achieve their full potential in these subjects. Westborough has a strong and stable staffing platform and can develop staff whatever their career stage.

You will be joining a successful and well-established Creative Arts team and are warmly welcomed to visit with one of our senior leaders or headteacher.

Following the Section 8 Ofsted inspection in June 2022, Westborough continues to be a good school and ‘leaders are ambitious’ for the pupils. There is a real team approach at Westborough, where everyone, no matter what their role in school is, wants the ‘best’ for pupils. Ofsted were very complimentary about the culture of the school, describing it as, ‘welcoming and inclusive.’

Applications are welcomed from candidates who:

  • Consistently deliver highly effective lessons in your subject area
  • Have experience of developing effective teaching resources and strategies
  • Have the skills and energy to inspire, lead and motivate others

As a valued member of our team we can offer:

  • Clear and shared values and expectations
  • A commitment to tailored professional development
  • A stimulating work environment
  • An experienced, highly committed and support leadership team

If you want to work with us on our journey to excellence, then we would like to hear from you.

The closing date for applications to be returned is 9.00 a.m. Monday 13 May 2024

Completed applications should be returned to Fiona Sharp, PA to the Headteacher at the school or via email fsharp@w-h-s.org.uk
