This exciting opportunity is suitable for a serving Principal who can demonstrate a strong track record of school improvement. The role will be initially placed at Don Valley Academy which is a very high performing Academy in Doncaster with research school status. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across other Delta Academies and partner Academies within the sector. You will also benefit from intensive CPD that will prepare you for an Executive Principal post in the future.

As an Associate Executive Principal, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to your own Academy whilst developing the skills and experiences required to be successful in executive leadership. In the role you will work alongside the CEO, Director of Education and Executive Principals to deliver high quality leadership to our Academies. You will have the opportunity to represent the Trust at regional and national events and deliver as a facilitator on the NPQH/NPQSL. You will also be enrolled on the NPQEL. To broaden your leadership experience, you will also have the opportunity to work with executive leaders in other Trusts.

If you have any queries about the role, please contact our Director of Education Andy Barnett on 07583057786. Equally, if you want to arrange a visit to the academy or to discuss opportunities at Delta, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Delta Academies Trust is a very high performing multi academy trust based in the north of England, across the Yorkshire and The Humber area. More recently we have sponsored Academies further south in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

Delta Academies Trust and Don Valley Academy are delighted to welcome an executive leader into our community. Having secured our students their best Year 11 outcomes last summer at Don Valley, being newly appointed as an EEF Research School and working in state of the art facilities we welcome you to come and join us. We pride ourselves on being the most dynamic and energetic academy in the region and are looking for someone who wants to be part of something special.

Do you want to work for a Trust that is transforming educational outcomes for students in some of the most deprived areas in the North of England? If so, this could be the role for you.

We are delighted to have been recently awarded £210000 in funding across 3 years to form a new Research School, joining the Education Endowment Foundation’s (EEF) network of Research Schools across England. You will join us at a pivotal time as we; continue to develop evidence informed teaching strategies in our Academy and across Delta, build affiliations with local schools to improve pupil outcomes and provide professional development opportunities for senior leaders on how to raise outcomes based on the best available evidence.

Don Valley Academy is proud to be rated Ofsted GOOD (April 2019) for the first time in its history! This has been achieved by having dedicated and enthusiastic staff who are committed to giving our community an extraordinary educational experience.

We are a vibrant Academy with over 1000 students on roll and are ever growing. The building facilities speak for themselves and allow us to deliver a high quality curriculum to our students. We serve a significantly deprived community with 42% of students being pupil premium and 38% being in the bottom 10% for deprivation. Despite these challenges, you will find Don Valley students to be polite and engaged with learning.

As a community we embrace all opportunities and strive to support and challenge each other. We have a comprehensive professional development calendar which is tailored specifically to meet the current needs. Staff enjoy the leadership opportunities found within our ‘DEEPs’ model and are able to gain experiences of roles across the Academy from Aspiring Leaders to Associate Assistant Principals.

Collaboration is at the heart of the Academy for both students and staff. You will find our Don Valley Academy team to be positive and reflective towards their own professionalism, with wellbeing as a pivotal aspect of our Academy ethos.
