Job overview

Are you an outstanding and inspirational leader?

More than just a school, Pool Hayes Academy is a genuine community hub for Willenhall. At the heart of Academy Transformation Trust, we’re growing rapidly and achieving impressive results – in fact, we’re among the best performing schools in Walsall. We’ve recently secured our first Good ratings for Leadership and Management, Personal Development, Behaviour & Welfare and 16 to 19 Study Programmes – and we have some ambitious plans for the future.

This role is ideal for inspirational teachers and leaders who ideally specialise in the areas of Science or Maths.  However if you are a teacher in another subject area and you have the ability to inspire, lead, motivate and coach ambitious teachers then we will still be interested in receiving an application from you.  You will be an important member of the senior leadership team shaping the design, delivery and quality of the curriculum.

Already an impressive teacher and leader, you will be seeking the autonomy to demonstrate what you can really do. Building productive, mutually respectful working relationships and stimulating students to achieve their full potential should be second nature to you, and you will be adept at deploying diverse teaching strategies to connect with pupils from every walk of life. Most importantly, you will bring a clear sense of direction to your specialist subject area – inspiring students and leading teachers.

In return, you can expect heavy investment in your CPD and plenty of scope for career development within our rapidly expanding Academy or the Trust’s network of schools.

To learn more please visit our careers page.

To apply either complete our online application form by selecting “Apply Now” or download the attached Word application form and once completed email it to Jayne Vecchio ( j.vecchio@poolhayes.attrust.org.uk ).

We will interview candidates on a continuously rolling basis, so please apply as soon as possible.

Closing date: 22 April 2018.

Please note that this position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check, 2 satisfactory references and that your qualifications will be verified.
