We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Attendance Manager to raise the profile of student attendance across both academies to increase the level of student attendance. The Attendance Manager will strategically respond to improving attendance in each academy, assist parents/carers in improving their child’s attendance and to ensure clear systems and processes are in place to track and monitor attendance.

This role requires a highly focussed individual that is organised and passionate about making a difference in our academies and for the local community.

You will be a highly efficient individual with outstanding attention to detail. This is a challenging role that will bring many rewards directly supporting Senior Leadership as well as working closely with Safeguarding, Pastoral, Behaviour teams and Heads of Year.

The ideal candidate will need to be well-organised and have a flexible approach to tasks. Specific training on the systems will be provided. You will need to be resilient under pressure and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Desired requirements (but not prohibitive to making an application):

  • A proven track record of working with outside agencies.
  • Highly organised with excellent prioritisation skills.
  • GCSE or level 3 BTEC qualifications and a minimum of GCSE English and Mathematics at C grade (or equivalent).

We will offer you:

  • Excellent facilities and resources.
  • Talented, supportive and innovative staff and students.
  • Training and development opportunities.
  • Opportunities to collaborate with colleagues in our cluster of schools.
  • Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • 25 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays.
  • Access to training through the Apprenticeship Levy.

United Learning

Sheffield Park Academy is part of United Learning, a large and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.

Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.

As a Group, we can reward our staff better with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.

We are working hard to become a more diverse organisation – which is key to our commitment to bringing out the best in everyone. We welcome applications from everyone committed to this ethos and would particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates, who are currently under-represented in the Group as a whole. We always appoint on merit. We are open to discussing flexible working options.
