Leigh Academy Minster is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Attendance Officer to join our vibrant school community. As an Attendance Officer, you will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining high levels of attendance, supporting our students to achieve their full potential.

You will lead in the implementation of a range of strategies with key stakeholders, be responsible for helping to raise attendance and make a significant contribution to the ‘Every Child Matters’ outcomes. On a daily basis you'll be in contact with students, various members of staff, parents and external agencies - this is a busy and fast-paced role so we'd love to hear from candidates who are keen to be part of our collaborative and supportive environment. 

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.

This is a permanent position, working 37 hours per week, term time + 1 week of inset and offers an actual salary of £22,986 - £24,609 per annum (£26,873 - £28,770 full-time equivalent), based on experience.
