Vision for Education is looking to appoint a number of Autism Support Workers to join our successful supply team and work in a local SEN setting within Kirklees.
The role
Working as part of a dynamic and creative SEN Supply team, the Autism Support Worker will focus on delivering specialist 1:1 support to young learners with Autism, whilst also providing general classroom support for a class of children with additional Special Needs. We have a requirement for full and part time staff within this setting.
The school
Vision for Education is looking for a number of committed and successful Autism Support Worker to join their motivated team. This particular setting cater for students from KS1 – KS5 who suffer from ASD. Every student is completely different and may present additional needs including none-verbal / and requiring personal care. Vision for Education are looking for specialist Autism Support workers who have experience in dealing with ASD across the spectrum.
Requirements
To be considered for the Autism Support Worker position, you will:
Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist ASD environment or similar setting working with children, young people or adults (essential)
Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
Team teach is required in some settings therefore willingness to learn is essential.
Ideally have experience supporting learners on a daily basis.
