Role:  Basketball Coach  

Pay Range: West Sussex Grade 6 + Crawley Fringe Allowance + Market Supplement to bring total remuneration to £15 per hour  

Hours of Work and Salary:  29 hours per week term + INSET . Actual hours to be worked are subject to negotiation  

Contract Type: Temporary until July 19th 2019 initially

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, self-motivated coach to join a professional coaching team in delivering an elite basketball programme within school and alongside a community programme with Sussex Storm. The school competes in the Academies Basketball League (ABL) and in national and county competitions for years 7-14 student athletes. Basketball is at the heart of the academy programme, with a professional approach across the board.  

The role is ideal for an ambitious coach who would like the opportunity to develop and progress their coaching career. We are looking for someone with excellent basketball knowledge, combined with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.  

The school’s partnership with Sussex Storm Basketball Club will allow a separate working arrangement to be made directly with the club for additional hours, which will require the flexibility to work regularly at weekends and some evenings. In this role the successful candidate should have excellent knowledge and understanding of the game of basketball and the operation of club basketball.  

The successful applicant will have to meet the requirements as set out in the Person Specification which accompanies the Job Description. Welcome to the Holy Trinity Church of England Secondary School. We are a Voluntary Aided Church school with a rich history and a reputation for excellence.  

The school was opened in 1969 by the Queen and is believed to be the first purpose built Church of England comprehensive school in the country. Today it is an over-subscribed and vibrant multi-faith, multi-cultural school serving three deaneries of Cuckfield, East Grinstead and Horsham, and the community of Crawley, providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.
