Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a qualified Behaviour Support Assistant to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a local behavioural unit based in Scunthorpe. This a temporary role due to start immediately on a supply basis but with the possibility of longer term bookings. This  Behavioural Support Assistant role would be ideal for a qualified teaching assistant interested in developing their career.

The role:

Vision for Education are looking for a Behavioural Support Assistant who has a drive to help manage and control challenging behaviour of certain individuals, allowing other pupils to continue their learning.

The school:

Within the role of Behavioural Support Assistant, you will be working throughout several schools, helping to support the most vulnerable pupils who require extra attention within their everyday lessons.

Requirements;

To be considered for the Behavioural Support Assistant position, you will:

  • Have experience within a SEND environment, specifically with primary and secondary aged children
  • Must be confident in handling challenging behaviour and feel confident and able to follow through with the school’s behaviour policies
  • Have a flexible attitude towards tasks for the day, moulding to the needs of the child and aiding colleagues when struggling with disruptive class members
