Vision for Education is looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Worker to join our successful supply team to work in an SEMH setting based in Bradford This is a rewarding role, which will commence immediately until the end of the academic year.

Recruiting for an SEMH school based in Bradford we have a rare requirement for a Behaviour Support Worker to work closely with a young student.

The Role

This role is specifically working with a Secondary age student who struggles Socially. He is currently in this SEMH setting on a permanent basis as he struggles within a mainstream environment. He is quite a challenging young student so the ability to be able to de-escalate situations quickly is essential. We need a strong, committed Behaviour Support worker who will see this role through until the end of the academic year. It’s vital that you are able to build relationships fast and gain trust. Although this can be quite a challenging role at times, it is also extremely rewarding.

The school

We are recruiting for an SEMH setting that cater for mixed secondary age students. Although this is a specialist setting for students who are no longer in Mainstream Education it does have a mainstream feel to it.

Requirements

To be considered for the Behaviour Support Worker position, you will:

Have experience of working in a similar environment, whether it be residential / Care / Mental Health.

Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.

Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.

Have an interest in making a different in young learners lives.
