About Mersey Primary Academy
Mersey Primary Academy serves the east of Hull, around the Holderness Road area. We are a small academy with 200 pupils aged between 3 and 11. Our Academy’s ethos is to strive to ensure achievement for all: working in partnership with our families to enable learners to develop emotionally, socially and academically within a safe and secure environment. Our ethos is firmly rooted in traditional British values. Learners feel safe in a caring and nurturing environment. Working with our families is an integral part of our work as we strive to enhance the lives of learners throughout the local, national and international community, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to develop into well-rounded lifelong learners. Making a positive difference for our children is at the heart of everything we do.
We are very lucky that we are situated in close proximity to three other Delta academies: Craven Primary Academy, Estcourt Primary Academy and The Parks Academy. This allows us to work closely together and each academy is committed to learning from each other and sharing best practise. Our curriculum allows us to deliver lessons that are pertinent to the children in our academy, giving them the opportunity to thrive and to have high aspirations for themselves, whilst learning about the world outside.
Our staff are talented and enthusiastic and have all contributed to the academy’s success story. At Mersey Primary Academy, we value the continuous professional development of all our employees and recognise that our staff and students are most successful when they feel happy, valued, challenged and supported to achieve their very best.
